  • Jonathan Vasquez

    Hmmm…..
Now that I see Jill and Trilby next to each other, does anyone notice some similarities between them, aside from the glasses? We know it’s Earth, but what if the humans and Jills kind are the same, just a different version. In other words, Jill and Trilby are the same person but a different version. Both are of Earth but long ago, their kind lived on Earth but are from alternate Earth. Maybe?

    • Thisguy

Interesting theory. Back when we first met Trillby, before we learned her species, I though she might be related to Jill.
While that theory was shot down with the discovery she was human, I suppose it may still be possible. Jill could be an experimental attempt at a hybrid. In which case, Trilby could be one of the genetic donors.
And there’s another crazy theory for you.

      • Jonathan Vasquez

Well one we cam say is that something happened to where humanity was almost wiped out and gone into hiding. Now they want to take back Earth. Poor Jill though, she and her friends are pretty much Mazerunners for the humans. One glimmer of Hope is Trilby and Jill for theirs kinds fate lies in their hands. To find out if it’s an alternate Earth, experiment gone rogue, or even aliens (which I completely doubt), is to see the ruins where the exgevation team disappeared from after finding it. The truth lies in the ruins and I bet dollars to donuts Trilby knows what lies there.

        • Thisguy

Most probably there was some sort of cataclysm in the past which wiped out most of humanity and sent the rest into hiding. As to where the anthros come from, Mutated from human, mutated from animals, genetic experiment gone rogue, created to be super soldiers for humans but went rogue (guess that’s the same thing).

          • Jonathan Vasquez

I honestly believe Jills kind aren’t experiments at all. The conditions were right and they came to be. Like the Isos from Tron Legacy.

  • MrAMP

Either their educational system is horrible, the anthro’s technology isn’t advance to satellite imagery, the anthro’s don’t explore that much any more, or humans call it by a different name. Otherwise, how does she not know what Antarctica is? I mean, her new human boss is even looking at her like “Say what now.”

    • Gaboris

It’s more like they haven’t rediscovered the world yet. Just look at the earlier stories where they have expeditions to “ancient” ruins and all that.
I’m pretty sure whatever happened in that war or whatever happened with the humans(possibly both) it caused this new anthro civilization to loose a lot of knowledge from the past. Maybe like how after the fall of the Roman empire, the new Europe had to reinvent and rediscover almost everything. 🙂

      • Daniel

Sounds legit, but ancient ruins are a different thing than continents.
Even right now we are still sending out expeditions to get the past straight, but we know all of the earths surface, on the greater scale.
The anthro civilisation is on a high technological level, just like we are today, so i don’t think they just haven’t discovered a whole continent yet.

        • Gaboris

Hmmm… yeah you got a point, but maybe there’s “not much” of them yet? Or they still lack the infrastructure to set up global mapping with satellites or actual planes to fly over unknown regions like we do?
They have planes I guess, right? They had one of the bombers from the war in the museum, but right now I can’t remember if they have actual avionics or if that was the “other side’s” tech. Were there planes in the comic already? I REALLY can’t remember.

  • MrAMP

Also, now that I’m looking at this more, is it me or does Jill and Trilby look similar to each other? Is it possible, that Trilby is Jill’s mother? I should note that I’m saying mother in the sense that it could be some kind of clone or donated the eggs for the experiment.

    • Thisguy

That’s kind of what I suggested above.

  • Sepher

Still think it was rather dumb and needless of Sitala to stop her from trying to shoot these assholes.
